Charges have been dropped against a Danish citizen of Moroccan origin in a suspected plot to kill one of the 12 cartoonists whose drawings of the Prophet Muhammad ignited violent protests across the Muslim world, prosecutors said Wednesday. The 40-year-old was arrested Feb. 12 with two Tunisian men in Aarhus, western Denmark, on charges of planning the murder. The Danish-Moroccan was released the same day after questioning, while the two Tunisians, ages 25 and 26, remain in police custody. All their names have been withheld.
