Defending champ is 2-1 favorite By JACK IRELAND • The News Journal • July 9, 2008 STANTON -- Defending champion Unbridled Belle heads up a crowded field of 11 fillies and mares for the 71st running of the $1 million Grade II Delaware Handicap on Sunday at Delaware Park. Unbridled Belle, trained by Todd Pletcher and ridden by Ramon Dominguez, is the 2-1 morning line favorite as she attempts to become just the fifth repeat champion and sixth double winner in DelCap history. Last year, the 5-year-old daughter of Broken Vow set a Delcap record for margin of victory at 7 3/4 lengths since the distance was increased to 1 1/4 miles in 1951.
