Celebrity governor to visit Asahiyama Zoo（07/09 12:19） ASAHIKAWA -- Miyazaki governor Hideo Higashikokubaru will make his first visit to Asahikawa City on July 21 and 22 to inspect Asahiyama Zoo and attend a commemorative reception. The plan stems from the ongoing relationship of around 20 years between the Asahikawa Tourist Association and the Miyazaki City Tourism Association. The governor is scheduled to arrive in Asahikawa on the evening of July 21 and attend a commemorative reception at an Asahikawa hotel in which citizens will also participate. He will visit Asahiyama Zoo on July 22. Both tourist associations enjoy a friendly relationship in which delegations have visited each other on a regular basis.
