Priester named new LSJ publisher

44-year-old comes to Lansing from Oregon newspaper Kathleen Lavey • klavey@lsj.com • July 8, 2008 • From Lansing State Journal Brian Priester is the Lansing State Journal's new president and publisher. Priester, 44, comes to Lansing from Salem, Ore., where he was president and publisher of the Salem Statesman-Journal. Both newspapers are owned by McLean, Va.-based Gannett Co. Inc. "I just want to make a positive impact in the community and on the lives of our employees," Priester said Monday. "I'm looking forward to getting to know the community and make it a better place to live and conduct business." Priester succeeds Richard A. Ramhoff, who was named president and publisher of the Desert Sun in Palm Springs, Calif., on June 27.
