Written and directed by Marjane Satrapi and Vincent Paronnaud, Persepolis is Satrapi's memoir adapted from her comic series and graphic novel of the same name. Marjane "Marji" Satrapi (voiced, as a child, by Gabrielle Lopes, and as a teenager and adult by Chiara Mastroianni) was born in Iran in the midst of the Islamic Revolution.
