Utah Jazz: Free agency looms large in '09

Contracts nearing end for 8-10 Jazz players Consider this summer the calm before the free-agent storm for the Utah Jazz. The Jazz officially only have three free agents to worry about this offseason — and a fourth biggie, when you throw in Deron Williams and his impending contract-extension negotiations — but 2009 figures to be a much busier one for Utah's brass. Depending on what happens, it could completely alter the look of the core group that helped Utah get to the Western Conference Finals in 2007 and into the semifinals this past spring. In a year, a total of nine Jazz players from the current squad — and four of five starters from the 2007-08 team — will have expired contracts or options that allow them out of their deals.
