Bentson - McAlpine

Anna Carter McAlpine and Thomas Soren Bentson were married on May 31, 2008 at St. John's Episcopal Church Memorial Garden in Wytheville, Virginia. The ceremony was performed by the father of the bride. A reception followed at the home of Dr. and Mrs. D. Craig Smith of Wytheville. The bride, daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Laurie Allen McAlpine of Murrells Inlet, is the granddaughter of Laurens Elliott McAlpine and the late Mary Flowers McAlpine of Clinton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Leland Carter of Greenville, N.C. Anna graduated from the University of South Carolina and is the marketing director at Thomas Jefferson's Poplar Forest in Forest, Va.
