02:20 PM PDT on Saturday, July 5, 2008 Associated Press CALDWELL, Idaho - Police say a southern Idaho woman spent several hours in a canal with a broken leg and fractured pelvis following a car accident. Idaho State Police say 34-year-old Dora Ramirez, of Caldwell, was driving west on Interstate 84 when her Dodge Caravan went off the road and veered into a canal on Thursday. Authorities believe Ramirez wasn't wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the car. Officer Pat Mooney found Ramirez after he noticed skid marks on the road. Along with the broken leg and fractured pelvis, Ramirez was found with damage to her spinal cord and internal bleeding.
