Syrian professor cycles to celebrate Turkish-Syrian friendship

A Syrian professor will cycle approximately 6,000 kilometers in a bid to draw attention to the advance of Turkish-Syrian relations over the past several years. Professor Yahya Kaakeh, 45, a lecturer and an artist at Aleppo University, will also present a plaque he made to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for establishing a "bridge of friendship" with Syria. Kaakeh arrived yesterday at Gaziantep, the first stop on his trip, and visited the southeastern city's historical sites. Voicing satisfaction at the interest he drew in Gaziantep, Kaakeh said he would visit 25 provinces during his 90-day tour of Turkey.
