In New York, it’s all Sean, all the time, or all Sean most of the time, or mostly Sean all of the time. But you can’t fool all the the people all of the time and in the rest of the hockey world, the Marian Hossa signing by Detroit is the big buzz of the day. Hossa left tens of millions on the table for a one-year chance to win the Stanley Cup. He’s still going to make a bit less than $7.5 million next season, so Hossa won’t be hurtin’. And he’ll probably get a lot of the same kind of multi-year mega-buck offers this time next year. Plus, he might be wearing one of those gaudy oversized rings on his finger. This should dispel forever the stupid myth that Europeans aren’t interested in winning the Big Mug (although we suspect it won’t), and Hossa’s signing allows Detroit coach Mike Babcock to split up Pavel Datsuyk and Henrik...
