Visteon-Autopal sales up 18% in 2007

By ČTK / Published 30 June 2008 Novy Jicin, June 29 (CTK) - Czech car components producer Visteon-Autopal last year raised sales to Kc13.7bn against Kc11.6bn in 2006, spokeswoman Iva Koristkova told CTK Sunday but would not specify the size of the profit. The CZECH TOP 100 association said that last year the company exported Kc12bn worth of goods, up Kc2bn on the year. Visteon-Autopal, which became part of the Spanish group Visteon Holdings Espana last year, produces components for more than 20 car makers throughout the world. Ninety percent of the production is exported. The biggest domestic customer is Skoda Auto. Skoda Auto said recently it wanted to reduce the number of its suppliers from 1,300 to 400 by the end of next year so as to speed up production.
