Aragones leaving as Spain coach after Euro final

By Ian Ferris - June 29, 2008 On the eve of the final of EURO 2008, Luis Aragones confirmed that at the end of the competition he will leave his post as the coach of Spain. Aragones has worked wonders with Spain so far in the competition, but confirmed his exit because he doesn't feel the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) have done enough to keep him. "I'm leaving because they haven't done enough to keep me," he told the press. "Nobody told me anything when we qualified for the European Cup, and I decided that I would leave. Now there's no going back, but I don't want people to think that I wanted to leave." However, the Madrid-born coach will leave "happy" because he believes he has worked with a group of people who have always "believed" in him.
