FISHERFOLK across Barbados will give thanks today during a church service to officially mark Fisherman's Day, under the theme: Fisheries And The Challenges Of Climate Change For The Caribbean. It will commence at 4 p.m. at the Fisheries Division, Princess Alice Highway, Bridgetown. According to fisheries assistant Angelia Graham, it was felt that a thanksgiving church service was the most appropriate means of marking the occasion this year. "We felt that we should depart from the normal activities and give thanks to God for the benefits that have accrued from the industry over the past years," she explained, noting that industry awards would also be presented during the service.
