The June 28th Storms

Well, Friday, June 28, 2008 started like any other Friday. I went to work, but for the first time this week I forgot to bring my scanner. Every other day during the week I brought the scanner with me to keep an eye on the storm. About 4:30 we were getting ready to wrap up for the day, when we noticed that the weather was looking bad. I quickly opened up the NOAA weather radio online so I could see what was going on. The National Weather Service was getting reports of golfball-sized hail in Fremont, Nebraska, which is only about 15-20 miles from where I live, Valley, Nebraska. I immediately called my wife to warn her and told her to get into the bathroom.
