N Sumatra police arrest two Iranians

Medan, North Sumatra (ANTARA News) - North Sumatra police have informed the Iranian embassy in Jakarta about the recent arrest of two Iranian nationals for alleged fraud and theft committed in Pematang Siantar, a spokesman said. Adjunct Senior Commissioner Darmawan Sutawijaya, deputy head of the North Sumatra police`s criminal investigation department, said here Friday, the two Iranians were MB (25) and HM (29). The police had informed the Iranian embassy about the arrests in writing in accordance with international rules but so far there was no reply nor had anyone from the Iranian embassy visited the two suspects who were being held by Pematang Siantar police, he said.
