Outdoors: Fishing program brings joy to disabled anglers

Sitting in his wheelchair at Blue Springs Lake Marina, Patrick Connelly watched as his fishing rod suddenly bent. A helper reached over and hit the button on the electric reel, and the fight was on. "This fish is feisty," Connelly said. Moments later, a 7-pound carp was in the net, and Connelly was celebrating his accomplishments.
