Heat Causes 2 Buckles In Road On I-94

The heat Wednesday caused some pavement to buckle in two spots on Interstate 94. The first happened in Woodbury, Minn. near County Road 13. The buckle has closed two lanes of traffic on westbound 94 in that area. Officials said backups are expected and urge motorist to use different routes for their ride home. The other buckle in the pavement happened in Hudson, Wis. on I-94 between Carmichael and 11th Street. Repair work is underway there and crews put a temporary patch over the area and two of the westbound lanes are closed while workers fix the area with a permanent patch. They expect work to be completed by 4 a.m. Thursday there.
