By JULIA SILVERMAN and MATTHEW DALY Associated Press Writers PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Republicans usually demonize Barack Obama in their political advertising, but GOP Sen. Gordon Smith aligns himself with the Democratic presidential candidate in a new ad, citing legislation they worked on to improve fuel efficiency standards. Observers in both parties said it appeared to be the first time in this election cycle that a GOP Senate candidate had aligned with Obama. The ad, responding to an independent Democratic ad linking Smith to high gas prices, credits Obama with saying that "Gordon Smith led the fight for better gas mileage and a cleaner environment." I guess they were in elementary school when Sadam Hussein butchered and tortured thousands of people. So, this is the youth who will be deciding our 'change' ... great judgement! These kids have no sense of history, or hard won traditions. They are ready to change anything and everything at a drop of a hat ... while they obliviously enjoy the fruits of other people's labors and sacrifices. What's next? ... changing their middle names to Hitler, or Stalin?

Kudos to Bill Clinton. It disgusted me how the Obama campaign discredited Bill Clinton and used the race card against him. Clinton was a good President for 8 years. A President who accomplished a great deal, including 8 years of peace and prosperity. Obama is an upstart who hasn't really accomplished anything, except packaging himself, selling himself to the American public, and trying to buy the Presidency. Obama and his supporters have no credibility, they will say and do anything to get elected.

Every single presidential candidate says and does anything to get elected. Obama's campaign is no worse than the campaign of any of previous U.S. Presidents. As for Bill Clinton, his major accomplishment was that he did nothing, thus spoiled nothing.
