Scots seaside enjoys house price boost

SCOTTISH seaside towns have seen an average increase of 14 per cent in houses prices to £138,192 over the last year. Fraserburgh, Aberdeenshire, was the best performer in a Bank of Scotland study, with a 46 per cent rise to £135,512. Montrose, Angus, was next - up 28 per cent to £106,078. Girvan, Ayrshire, was third, with an average 25 per cent rise to £111,706. Prices in upmarket Troon, Ayrshire, fell by three per cent, although prices are still well above average at £156,736.
