Bulgaria's Minister of Agriculture and Foods Valeri Tzvetanov announced Friday in the Black Sea city of Burgas that the fishermen were going to be exempt from paying fuel excise tax. Tzvetanov also said that the Ministry's estimates showed the fishermen's excise tax amounted to about BGN 7,023 M per year. This sum was not significant for the state budget, which meant that the fishermen would be freed from the tax soon. The Agriculture Minister made it clear that all documentation for starting the procedure for the registering of fishing ports would be ready in a month.
