A Monday trial for a Brighton man accused of stabbing a 19-year-old Green Oak Township man at a party was adjourned. Assistant Prosecutor Jim Metz requested the adjournment, saying his office is waiting for medical records, but defense attorney James Buttrey objected. Circuit Judge David Reader granted the adjournment, and agreed to reduce bond for John Earl Corum, who was being held on a $75,000 bond for assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder, to $1,000. He can be released upon posting 10 percent of the value. Prosecutors allege Corum stabbed the Green Oak man while the two fought at a party where mostly minors were playing beer-drinking games.
