Legend has it that prime ministers keep in their desk drawer a resignation letter from each member of their cabinet. Perhaps inspired by this, the opposition Liberals appear to have prepared indignant news releases demanding the resignation of every minister, and even the odd parliamentary secretary. By making resignation calls their default reaction at the first hint of controversy, they have so trivialized them that they have lost all relevance. This week, the Liberals were at it again.
