Errani wins; Parmentier falls in Barcelona

The Sports Network Sixth-seeded Italian Sara Errani posted a second-round win, while fifth-seeded Frenchwoman Pauline Parmentier went by way of the upset Wednesday at the $145,000 clay-court Barcelona KIA tennis event. Errani erased American Varvara Lepchenko 6-4, 7-5, while Parmentier was sent packing by wild card and Spanish crowd favorite Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez 6-2, 6-4 at La Taixonera. In other Day-3 action, Nuria Llagostera Vives handled wild card fellow Spaniard Eloisa Compostizode Andres 6-3, 6-0 and France's Stephanie Cohen- Aloro erased Slovakian Magdalena Rybarikova 7-6 (7-3), 6-0.
