Surveillance equipment developer Datong, whose annual results today show revenues up 12.5 per cent to £10.7 million, is one of around a hundred companies exhibiting or presenting at tomorrow’s fourth annual Growth Company Investor Show at London’s Barbican Exhibition Halls. Leeds-based Datong, which increased pre-tax profits by 8.4 per cent to £2 million in the year to March, absorbed a fall in US revenues by expanding with new customers in Europe. Chief executive Brian Smith said the company was seeing ‘encouraging growth in military and homeland security budgets around the globe’ and is confident of another year of organic growth.
