Sophos touts strong fiscal '08 growth

Mass High Tech: The Journal of New England Technology - Mass High Tech Security software maker Sophos Plc reports a 28 percent increase in billings for its fiscal year that ended March 31, marking the company's 20th consecutive year of growth. Sophos, which operates a North American headquarters in Burlington, posted $213.9 million in billings during fiscal 2008 compared with $167.3 million during fiscal 2007, company officials said. Sophos, which develops antivirus and anti-spam software, reported fiscal 2008 deferred revenue of $226.3 million compared with $180.6 million in fiscal 2007 -- a 25 percent increase, officials said.
