Re: Bush: Saudi oil boost doesn't solve U.S. problem
The United States is out begging for oil instead of developing a viable energy policy. Alternative fuels are going to take years to develop and become reliable and so it time to get REAL and start drilling domestically so we don't get stuck doing business with countries that hate us. Oil independance would go a long way towards keeping our military at home. At some point, Isreal is going to take matters into their own hands and strike Iran. It is imperative that we have a reliable supply of oil when that event occurs. With the Congressional Democrats in power, I really thought that they would write an energy policy (as they promised) but since their 2006 victory they are more concerned about winning the White House than doing the work of the people.
