O2 profits fall on higher costs

FIRST-quarter profits at mobile phone operator O2 Ireland fell as average customer revenues declined. The company, owned by Spanish telecoms giant Telefónica, made operating profits of €75 million in the three months to end March, a fall of €3m year-on-year. [read full story]
