Canada will ice younger hockey club

Fans and media are already all over this one, with weekly dissertations on which Olympic candidates are hot or not, who is healthy and who is hurt. Did Marc Savard of the Boston Bruins lose his chance to make Team Canada when he broke his foot during the pre-season (he started the season before re-injuring it)? Or did he have a shot to begin with? Savard, a crafty centre and power-play specialist, was not invited to the Olympic orientation camp in Calgary last summer.
