One lesson I relearned because of upgrading this website was that I don’t have to do it all. I could, but it would be at the expense of sacrificing something else. Rather than trying to control everything, I decided to outsource some tasks. Although difficult at first, the payoffs were immediate. To start, I became more productive. And no, you don’t need fancy project management systems, large budget or crash course in Six Sigma. For some stupid reason, I figured because it was my web site, I had to do all the work. It wasn’t right to let anyone else touch it. I think part of this is because something tells us no one can do the job the as well.
