Male Menopuase (Andropause): Fact or Fiction?

Hormonal changes, a natural offshoot of the aging process, cause men and women alike to experience various physical changes. Men do not undergo anything like menopause in the later years of their middle age; however, andropause does occur, caused by a decrease in testosterone levels. This decrease actually starts when men are in their thirties, and each following decade the decrease is about 30%. The most well-know consequence of this hormonal change is a lowered libido; however, other effects can also occur on the male body. Other than libido and sexual act, your testosterone levels manipulate your metabolism; control bone mass, hair loss and other processes in the male body.
