THE CANADIAN PRESS/Jimmy Jeong MONTREAL - Any question of whether John Tavares would live up to the hype that came with being drafted first overall may have been answered by the 19-year-old's fine play in his first few weeks with the New York Islanders. The centre from Oakville, Ont., was averaging a point per game through his first seven NHL contests, and had the game-winner in a shootout in the lowly Isles' first victory of the season on Wednesday night against the Carolina Hurricanes.
