Daly: Your Bombers tix can makes dreams come true for vets

Thursday, October 22nd 2009, 4:00 AM ads for World Series tickets asking as much as $3,500 was this: DISABLED VET IN NEED OF YANKEE TICKET - $10 (NY.) "I am a recent disabled vet from Iraqi Freedom. It would be my dream to see the Yanks play in the World Series. I don't have much money but can pay something." The vet is Justin Fuller. He is a 29-year-old Connecticut native who suffered traumatic brain injury from an improvised explosive device while serving as a Navy corpsman with the Marines on two combat tours in Iraq and a third in Afghanistan. He posted the ad hoping he might get the attention of a fellow vet or simply a kind soul with a spare ticket. He is quick to say that his ad is not an attempt to arouse pity.
