Ex-Rooster helps Wigan keep Super League dreams alive

Former Sydney Roosters wing Amos Roberts scored a stunning try to give Wigan an 18-12 victory over Castleford and ensure their Super League play-off dream remains alive. The 28-year-old put the final nail in the Tigers coffin at the DW Stadium as he killed off any chance of a second-half fight back after Wigan had taken control before the break. Harrison Hansen opened the scoring for Brian Noble's men with former Parramatta and Wests wing Pat Richards adding the extras from the touchline. One-time Newcastle Knights centre George Carmont then scored a converted try to put the Warriors into a commanding 12-0 half-time lead.
