Greetings from Newark Airport. Always nice to be back here. I hope everybody had a safe, fun-filled holiday weekend. Most importantly, I hope you all had a chance to buy yourself one of those red Yankees hats. (Kidding) Having had the good fortune to miss a 12-inning game Saturday (sorry, McCarron) and a four-hour slugfest Sunday (sorry, Botte), here are some thoughts from the weekend… The loss of Chien-Ming Wang is not good for the Yankees. I know the Wanger hasn’t been pitching like himself this season, but he was having a good game before his arm started bothering him, getting about 10 or 11 ground ball outs in the first five innings.
