Righty's injury is no more serious than Twins thought MINNEAPOLIS -- The Twins got positive news on Kevin Slowey's right wrist injury Monday when a specialist in Baltimore confirmed the club's original diagnosis, Twins general manager Bill Smith said. The doctor diagnosed Slowey with a strained wrist and treated it with a cortisone injection. The plan now, Smith said, is to have Slowey rest for a couple of days before he starts back on a throwing program. "We're going to let it calm down," Smith said of the trouble spot in Slowey's wrist.
