1. Years ago this month, Neil Armstrong set foot on the moon. Two major inventions emerged from it: the non-stick frying pan and the moonwalk. The late Michael Jackson originally chose the non-stick frying pan as the centrepiece of his stage act. He was able to fry two rashers of bacon, a sausage and a fried egg, and still manage to do the washing-up in under five seconds. But this kitchen-based routine proved unpopular with his audiences, so he switched to the moonwalk and met with far greater success. 2.
