WANG ENDS UP ON DL

Chien-Ming Wang can add another disabled-list stint to his 2009 resume. The Yankees placed the right-hander on the DL yesterday with a right shoulder strain and bursitis, and told Wang not to plan on picking up a baseball until after the All-Star break. That means Wang's return to the rotation likely will not come until August. "We just want to give him rest," manager Joe Girardi said before the Yankees beat Toronto 10-8 at the Stadium. Jonathan Albaladejo, who pitched 1 1/3 scoreless innings yesterday, was summoned from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to take Wang's roster spot.
