BASEBALL NOTEBOOK: Shoulder injury for 'Big Unit'

San Francisco Giants left-hander Randy Johnson left the team's 7-1 loss Sunday to the visiting Houston Astros with a strained left shoulder after committing a throwing error in the fourth inning. ''I'm going to make this short,'' Johnson said. ''Right now it's a strain, and I'm going for an MRI [today]. That's all I'm going to say.'' Johnson took an awkward swing while striking out in the third and grabbed his shoulder as he walked back to the dugout. He yielded solo homers to Hunter Pence and Jason Michaels in the fourth before throwing the ball down the right-field line on pitcher Roy Oswalt's soft grounder back to the mound.
