'Negative signals from Pak on terror'

NEW DELHI: AS Pakistan sends conflicting signals to India on action against the Mumbai terror attack suspects, external affairs minister S M Krishna said that India is evaluating the signals coming out of Pakistan and termed Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Mohammed Saeed the brain behind the Mumbai terror attacks. Just a week before the Indo-Pak meetings on the sidelines of the NAM summit in Egypt, Mr Krishna reiterated that India is still waiting for “visible” and “credible” action against the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks. Islamabad has also been sending conflicting signals. On one hand, the government has appealed against the release of Hafiz Saeed but on the other hand the case against the five Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives accused of involvement in the attacks has come to a standstill as there has been no judge...
