USA ease to CONCACAF victory

Freddy Adu's second-ever international goal helped the USA to a 4-0 win over Grenada in their opening game in Group B of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Stuart Holden, Robbie Rogers and Charlie Davies also scored for the Americans, who go top of the standings on goal difference. Adu opened the scoring after the seventh minute when he collected a pass from Rogers and fired home from 12 yards. Holden then increased the USA's lead in the 31st minute when he headed home from close range. Rogers scored his first-ever international goal on the hour mark when he latched onto a through ball from Logan Pause before pushing the ball beyond goalkeeper Desmond Noel.
