Houston extends MLS lead, beat Kansas City

KANSAS CITY, Kansas (AP) - The Houston Dynamo extended its lead atop the Major League Soccer standings to four points with a 1-0 away win at the Kansas City Wizards on Saturday. The sole goal came against the run of play, on Houston's first shot of the game in the 18th minute. Defender Mike Chalaba crossed the ball for Sierra Leone international striker Kei Kamara, who used his height to head home what proved the winner. Kansas City was strong early and outshot Houston, but could not find the net. Columbus 1, D.C.United 1 In Columbus, Ohio, Columbus extended its home unbeaten streak to 17 games by holding D.C. The visitors took the lead in the 33rd minute through Argentine midfielder Christian Gomez and controlled play for much of the game, but Venezuelan forward Alejandro Moreno scored an equalizer in the 59th minute....
