As the United States celebrates its Independence Day on the Fourth of July, residents of an upstate New York town say they are fighting to preserve a threatened legacy of America's founding: a huge hidden graveyard of Revolutionary War veterans that is encircled by modern developments. A grove in the historic town of Fishkill is believed to be the final resting place of hundreds of Revolutionary War soldiers posted there when it was the main supply source for Gen. George Washington's northern army.
