The Pakistani military is preparing to move against Taliban fighters in South Waziristan [EPA] At least 15 people, thought to be Taliban fighters, have been killed by missiles fired from a suspected US drone in northwest Pakistan, officials say. A Pakistani intelligence services spokesman said the bombing hit a training facility in an area of South Waziristan controlled by Baitullah Mehsud, the Pakistani Taliban leader. The Pakistani military has increased pressure on Mehsud in recent weeks by launching a number of attacks in the area, while a number of suspected US raids also appear to have been aimed at him.
