The European Commission (EC) said on Friday it had received an invitation from Turkey for a Nabucco agreement. A spokesperson of the commission said that the European Union (EU) had been invited for the signature ceremony of Nabucco intergovernmental agreement in the Turkish capital of Ankara on July 13. The Nabucco project represents a new gas pipeline connecting the Caspian region, Middle East and Egypt via Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary with Austria and further on with the Central and Western European gas markets.
