(John Gastaldo / Union-Tribune) - NORTH COUNTY — Saying it wasn't possible to continue to provide bus service with shrinking revenue, the North County Transit board told staff yesterday to draft bid proposals for outsourcing its bus service. Six drivers implored the board not to do so, saying the transit district won't get the same quality from contract employees. “If you cut benefits and wages, are you really going to get loyal employees?” said Lynda Badeaux, a veteran driver.
