U.S President Barack Obama was caught up in a fresh row with Moscow today after he said Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin was 'mired in Cold War thinking'. Speaking ahead of his visit to a Moscow summit, Obama said Putin had one foot in the past and 'still has a lot of sway' in his nation as its nominal prime minister. The American leader added his successor Dmitry Medvedev understood the need to move away from Cold War-style confrontation and that it was time Putin did the same.
