Edwin Bradley, Waynesville • July 3, 2009 12:15 AM The letter, “Sees socialized medicine differently than recent writers,” (AC-T, June 20), makes reasoned arguments in a reasonable manner about the pitfalls of a government health plan. I submit an opposing view. My wife and I lived in Britain and have relatives in Britain and Canada. Virtually all of our relatives and others who we have discussed the matter with are quite satisfied with their government health plans. None of them would exchange their systems for our system. It is true that patients in Britain and Canada lacking private health insurance sometimes have to wait on a list to get medical treatment.
