Dr. Tom Sessa of the Hollywood Animal Hospital, which has a 24-hour emergency clinic, has spent past Independence Days treating dogs that have cut themselves jumping through windows or running through glass doors, terrified by exploding fireworks. He and other animal care experts agree: The best place for your pet on the Fourth is indoors. "Don't take your pets to the local fireworks display.
