Strike averted at Globe and Mail as workers and paper reach contract deal

TORONTO - A strike has been averted at the Globe and Mail as the newspaper and union representing staff have reached a tentative contract agreement ahead of a midnight strike deadline. Details on the tentative agreement won't be released until a vote by the 480 employees on Monday.
