Staff Reporter NEW DELHI: Ending the controversy over 45,000 “fake” Municipal Corporation of Delhi employees illegally drawing salaries in their names, Municipal Commissioner K. S. Mehra on Thursday released official figures of the number of employees who have registered for the biometric method of recording attendance and the total number of sanctioned posts in the civic body indicating a gap of 567 employees so far. Addressing media persons, Mr. Mehra said: “Against the total sanctioned MCD posts of 129,615, our records show that a total of 76,933 forms have been filled for biometric registration by our employees and additionally 2,500 of them have already registered with our Town Hall headquarters for the same.
